Our team at DBD became inspired to create a light and airy editorial - dripping in romance, class and beauty focused on the natural desert landscape. Blake & Ryan were the perfect match for our destination desert wedding at Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale, Arizona.
Blake & Ryan met as Freshman in high school. Their 11-year fairytale romance as new girl in school meets sports all star reached a peak when they got engaged at one of their favorite destinations, the beautiful Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. Blake and Ryan have worked in the wedding industry for years. We were happy to take the reins to plan and capture a beautiful day focused on an intimate and elegant wedding under the bright desert sky.
The “Nancy,” a Rosa Clara lace column gown with a cascading neckline and low back, silhouetted the bride’s figure; a perfect gown for an elopement ceremony.
The ceremony featured carefully constructed floral architecture with ivory and blush petals. The bride floated down the aisle to her groom in a navy tux and piercing blue eyes that popped slightly against the desert sand backdrop.
The Groom's navy tux featured a black lapel and traditionally fashionable black bow tie.
Beautiful red Bougainvillea are in full bloom on the sprawling grounds of the Four Seasons Scottsdale at Troon North. These ornamental vines are one of several perfectly manicured desert plants on the resort property. Set on the historic site of Crescent Moon Ranch, the Four Seasons Scottsdale at Troon North is tucked away in the Sonoran Desert. Drenched in sunshine and vast blue skies. This gorgeous private resort offers a romantic desert feel with the luxury and exquisite service every wedding deserves.
The intimate reception on Troon Lawn of the Four Seasons overlooks the Sonoran Desert through the view of two towering and majestic, Saguaro Cacti. We love the elegance of the white and ivory tablescape enlaced with gold accents, textured romantic floral and calligraphy menus with hand torn place cards.
We created a celebratory signature cocktail to toast to the original Spanish settlers of the territory: a modern and popular Spanish Gin and Tonic. The night ended under the choral and purple desert sky of dancing, sparkling stars.
Keeping with the copper desert theme, the ivory three tier, simple cake with copper foil and floral scarf was simply elegant.
